Edmond Ng co-founded Axiom Asia in 2006. Edmond is responsible for Axiom’s investments in China, South Korea and regional funds. Edmond has 28 years of PE experience over 20 of which were in Asia. Prior to founding Axiom Asia in 2006, Edmond’s PE experience was gained principally at GIC SI. During his seven-and-a-half-year tenure at GIC SI, Edmond had diverse PE experience, working in the company’s Singapore, San Francisco, Hong Kong and Beijing offices. He has experience in both fund and direct investments, and has worked on transactions in the U.S, Thailand, Indonesia, China, Taiwan and Australia. Edmond has a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from Columbia University and a Master of Science in Management Science & Engineering from Stanford University. Edmond reads and writes English and Chinese, and speaks several Chinese dialects.

Alex Lee joined Axiom Asia in August 2009. Alex currently leads Axiom’s private equity secondary investments across Asia and is also involved in primary fund investments and co‐investments, particularly in Australia, Japan and Southeast Asia. Prior to joining Axiom, Alex spent six years at global secondaries firm Coller Capital, first in London and later in Singapore. Alex also worked for Temasek linked companies, first as an engineer with Sembcorp Industries, then as an investment manager with venture capital firm Vertex, where he was active in both direct and fund investments. Alex has a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from Stanford University, a Master of Science in Applied Finance from the National University of Singapore and a Master of Business Administration from INSEAD.

Meifang Phua joined Axiom Asia in 2018. As Finance Manager, she oversees the operations of the Portfolio Monitoring and the Fund Accounting teams. Prior to joining Axiom, Meifang was the Senior Technical Accounting Manager at Augentius Group for three and a half years in their London office where she reviewed fund deliverables and advised on industry related topics and interpretation of companies’ constitution documents. She also trained six operational offices focusing on developments in the various industry bodies. Prior to Augentius, she was with PriceWaterhouseCoopers for six years with two years of managerial experience overseeing a portfolio of clients in various industries. Meifang holds a Bachelor of Accountancy (First Class Honours) from the Nanyang Technological University’s Nanyang School of Business. Meifang reads and writes English and Chinese.

Jimmy Toh joined Axiom Asia in 2017. Prior to joining Axiom, Jimmy was an analyst in UOB Asia Investment Partners where he was responsible for quantitative analysis and supported manager research to both the private equity and hedge funds business. He was also in charge of portfolio monitoring and performance analytics for UOB’s private equity investments. Prior to joining UOB AIP, he was a Senior Engineer involved in defense software development and project management with the Defence Science and Technology Agency of Singapore. Jimmy holds a Bachelor of Computer Engineering (Honours) from the Nanyang Technological University of Singapore, and a Master of Science in Applied Finance from the Singapore Management University. He is a CAIA (Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst) and FRM (Financial Risk Manager) charter holder. Jimmy is fluent in both English and Chinese.

Celest Ang joined Axiom Asia in 2019. Prior to joining Axiom, Celest worked in Partners Group as a Senior Financial Analyst where she tracked and monitored the financial health of investments and performed portfolio analysis on underlying portfolio companies. She also reviewed monthly valuations for direct equity investments, ensuring the accuracy of underlying funds’ net asset values. Celest graduated from Nanyang Business School in Nanyang Technological University with a Bachelor’s degree in Business with a Banking and Finance specialisation. She reads and writes English and Chinese.

Elaine Zeng joined Axiom Asia in 2020. Prior to joining Axiom, Elaine worked in OCBC Bank as a Credit Portfolio Analyst where she was involved in risk portfolio management and reviewing portfolio performance by identifying drivers of asset growth and asset quality changes. She was also previously an Equity Research Associate at Morgan Stanley covering the ASEAN Energy and Utilities sector. Elaine graduated from Singapore Management University with a Master’s degree in Applied Finance. She also previously graduated from Nanyang Technological University with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering. She reads and writes English and Chinese.

Mary Pao joined Axiom Asia in 2022 as an Associate in the Finance Team. Prior to joining Axiom, Mary was an Assistant Manager at Great Eastern where she handled various investment operation activities, such as ensuring accurate valuation & pricing of the investment-linked products and smooth execution of trade order placement & settlement with external fund managers, as well as preparing monthly reports on funds. Prior to Great Eastern, she was an Associate at Partners Group where she monitored the valuation of portfolio companies and fund performance. Cindy Heng joined Axiom Asia in 2017 as an Events & Marketing Executive in the Investor Partnership Services team. She is responsible for the planning and coordination of events and marketing for Axiom Asia. Prior to joining, Cindy worked at Singapore Airlines (SIA) as a corporate services manager overseeing relationship programs for the top tier premium Priority Passenger Service (PPS) Club members. She has planned and executed a number of bespoke client events as part of SIA’s hospitality program. Cindy has a Bachelor of Arts (Communication and New Media) from National University of Singapore. She is fluent in both English and Chinese.

Alyssa Ong joined Axiom Asia in 2025. Prior to joining Axiom Asia, Alyssa was a Workplace Ambassador at GXS Bank, where she supported front-of-house operations, facilities coordination, vendor management, and office services. Her role involved working closely with internal stakeholders and service providers to ensure smooth day-to-day office operations. Alyssa holds a Diploma in Leisure & Resorts Management from Temasek Polytechnic.

Prior to joining Axiom, Karen was previously a Finance Officer at Union Bancaire Privee, where she was responsible for monitoring daily liquidity and regulatory limits, accounts payable and staff claim processes and assisted in month-end financial closing tasks. She also previously held accounting and finance roles in China Construction Bank and Coutts & Co Ltd. Karen holds LCCI qualifications in Higher Accounting and Higher Auditing.
